St. Sebastian's Sunday School Koodaranhi
St. Sebastian's Sunday School Koodaranhi has a well organized Catechetical network for children, youth and adults. Our regular faith formation program for children is of 12 years duration. Youth are catechised by means of retreats, seminars, conventions and short-term courses etc…. Adult catechism is provided at the Basic Christian community gatherings. A well equipped Eparchial catechetical office is co-ordinating all these faith formation activities.
Catechetical formation is given to children through Sunday schools. In all the parishes and mission centers we have Sunday school catechisms under the supervision of the parish priests. In every Sunday we are celebrating the catechetical formation with Holy Eucharistic celebrations. In addition to Sunday catechism, we have regular school catechism for catholic students and moral catechism for non- catholic students. We are strictly following the text books of the Syro- Malabar catechetical committee.
For the better execution of the faith formation programe we have a central catechetical council and forane catechetical councils under the leadership of diocesan and forane directors. The strength and power of the catechetical department is the presence of the salt and light teachers.
